Hi everyone. Welcome to another edition of Exploring Paradise, Your Guide to Florida's West Coast. I am your Mike Renick. I am your host for this video.

Another beautiful Saturday morning here in Sarasota. We are out by the Bay. We are just on the outskirts of downtown Sarasota when we filmed this.

What I wanted to do is talk about the Sarasota County Starter Kit. It is a website in classes you can take. It is for newcomers, but it is not just going to help folks new to Sarasota. It is going to help folks that have lived here for a while that want to learn more.

So as a dedicated real estate broker, focused on what is best for your needs in terms of what you would like me to deliver, I'm excited to introduce a valuable resource. That is something that has just been put up by Sarasota County called the Starter Kit. So right now, they are having about, we see in the county probably thirty-five new residents that that arrive every day. So that number adds up quickly. So here they have a website we can go out to. We can register, we can learn more about this. They will talk about things like sustainability and resource conservation. Gardening in this unique climate here. I know coming down from Michigan, it is different down here.

Engaging in Four H activities for youth and families. Tips for saving on utilities down here in terms of your electric bill for AC, effective recycling, and reuse practices. Florida friendly landscaping techniques, essential disaster preparedness. Up north. we always prepared for tornados. Down here, it is hurricanes. They do not arrive often, but we want to be ready when one does. Also identifying beneficial insects and managing pests.

So, the whole thing, it is starting the middle of January. This is going to be ongoing. I will put the website link up on the web so that you can register for this. Go out there and look at what they have to offer. This is something unique to Florida's West Coast for. Again, new folks, new residents that are coming to this part of Florida, and for some of us that have been around for a few years. I intend to participate because I know I will learn more things here.

So please feel free to reach out. My name is Mike Renick. My personal, my direct cell is 941-400-8735. Thanks for watching everyone. Take care.
